The 2017 State Dual Meet Wrestling Tournament has come to another exciting conclusion as both of last year's champions were successful in the defense of their crowns. In Class 2A/1A, Middletown won their second overall and consecutive title as they cruised by Sparrows Point in the final by a score of 56-19. Meanwhile, Damascus continued their impressive run of five consecutive state titles and seventh overall as they bested Glenelg by a final score of 47-18. Our sincere appreciation to the State Wrestling Committee, especially Dual Meet Director Dave Dodson, for their hard work behind the scenes all season long as well on tournament day.
