The Minds in Motion Scholarship, is awarded to female and male senior scholar-athletes who attend a MPSSAA school and participate in MPSSAA-recognized sports. The $1,000 scholarship is awarded toward post-secondary education for qualifying applicants and is presented to the winners at a luncheon. The application, with requirements, is available on the MPSSAA website during a 5-week window in March/April.  The deadline for the 2022 application is Friday, April 22nd at 12 p.m.

The MPSSAA has awarded over $180,000 in scholarships since the program's  inception in 2008.

After the application deadline, the applications are divided according to the MPSSAA District of each submission. They are then forwarded to the Scholar-Athlete Committee representative from the nine respective districts.  Each District convenes a selection committee to review the applications.  

     Each District representative attends the Selection Committee meeting in early May to present their District’s top two male and female candidates, along with transcripts and proof of test scores for each, to the entire committee for consideration.  The State Committee will make the final decision on who the recipients will be.  Once the award recipients are chosen, the MPSSAA office notifies the winners via email and US Mail.  Formal invitations are also sent out to the parents, students, and school personnel in the US Mail.
