Attention all MPSSAA member high school students and artists! We are sponsoring a contest to design the best logo to commemorate our association's 75th Anniversary. This logo will be used on a wide variety of materials denoting our Diamond Jubilee year of existence throughout the 2020-21 school year. The winning high school will receive a $1,000 scholarship to be utilized in awarding the student(s) for their winning submission. In addition, MPSSAA apparel with the commemorative 75th Anniversary logo will be provided to the winning school. Submit entries to mpssaa75@gmail.com by 3/31/20, no exceptions. Contest Rules:
- Only MPSSAA students are eligible to enter.
- Artwork should be submitted in a pdf. sample format in high resolution.
- Use as many colors as you like; High contrast (markers/computer design).
- Imagery must illustrate the 75th MPSSAA Anniversary.
- Designed should be athletic and academic in nature and will be used during the MPSSAA 75th Anniversary Celebration.

Disclaimer: A Contestant means a student who enters the Maryland Public Secondary Schools Athletic Association (MPSSAA) for the 75th Anniversary Logo Contest by submitting a logo to the MPSSAA. A logo means a graphic representation, design, material, or symbol submitted to the MPSSAA for the MPSSAA 75th Anniversary Logo Contest.
The MPSSAA and State of Maryland shall have the exclusive right to use, reproduce, duplicate, or modify all Contestant logo submissions in whole or in part, in any manner for any purpose whatsoever. By participating, the Contestant agrees to assign and transfer all ownership rights, including without limitation all the copyright and intellectual property to the MPSSAA, and attach no other restrictions to the use of the logo. All submitters agree that publishing their logos for the purpose of this contest is acceptable. Submitters agree that MPSSAA or the State of Maryland may use the logo submitted and their name(s) both for advertising campaigns and/or marketing materials.
The contestant may not furnish any logo, design, material, symbol or other item, which is covered by another person’s trademark, service mark, copyright, trade secret, or intellectual property. The Contestant will defend or settle, at their own expense, any claim or suit against the MPSSAA, the State of Maryland or both alleging that any such logo submitted by the Contestant infringes any trademark, service mark, copyright, trade secret, or intellectual property. If a third party claims that the logo infringes that party’s trademark, service mark, trade secret, or copyright, or intellectual property, the Contestant will defend the MPSSAA, the State of Maryland or both, against that claim at Contestant’s expense and will pay all damages, costs, and attorneys’ fees that a court finally awards.
