The 2014 State Field Hockey Finals have drawn to another successful close at Washington College in Chestertown.  Class 3A jump started the day as Westminster prevailed over Linganore, 2-0. Class 4A followed with Severna Park downing Bethesda-Chevy Chase, 4-1 for their state record 22nd title. Class 1A North Carroll successfully defended their title over Fallston, 2-1 and Class 2A wrapped up the day as Hereford defeated Kent Island, 2-1.  Kent Island also took home the tournament Sportsmanship Award in addition to the runner-up trophy.

Don't forget that unlimited free viewing and DVD purchases will be available, under normal circumstances, within days of the event on the NFHS Network.  Click on the links below to view a synopsis of the State Semifinal and Final results or the brackets with complete results for each classification courtesy of County Sports Zone (CSZ).

Many thanks to the State Field Hockey Committee for their work running the State Semifinals and Finals like a well-oiled machine.  Thanks also to Broadneck and Paint Branch High Schools, their administration and staff for hosting the State Semifinals in first class fashion.  We are most thankful of Washington College and their staff for hosting us at their wonderful facility with a special thanks to coach Rachel Boyle. May everyone have an enjoyable off season!
