Three state champions were crowned in Girls' Lacrosse on Tuesday and Wednesday as Century won big in 2A/1A to earn their third state title in four years, Severna Park won their third consecutive state title in 3A/2A, and Fallston prevailed to win their first ever state girls' lacrosse title along with the tournament Sportsmanship Award.
Congratulations to the winners and to their opponents for a tournament full of games that were action-packed and fast paced with crisp checking and smooth stickwork. A big round of applause also goes to the state tournament committee and the schools that hosted semifinal games for their extra time and effort in making the tournament "go". Without these numerous volunteers behind the scenes giving unselfishly of their valuable time the tournament would not be the "happening" that it is. Best wishes for a relaxing summer and we will see everyone back at UMBC next year!
