The National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) is currently considering four proposals to the current weight class alignment for high school wrestling.  Information on the NFHS Committee recommendations for change, a timeline for the study and possible implementation of change, and the proposals under consideration for change to the current weight classes are included as links inside of this story.

     The NFHS will gather feedback from state associations and their member schools following the completion of the 2009-2010 wrestling season and prior to their April, 2010 National Wrestling Rules Committee meeting.  If a proposal for change clears all of the necessary hurdles, it would be implemented for the 2010-2011 wrestling season.  Stay tuned for additional information as it becomes available.
