The MPSSAA is pleased to announce that the Allstate Foundation is sponsoring the Minds In Motion Scholarship program for 2009.  This is the second year for this highly competitive scholarship program which awards $1,000 to each of four female and four male senior student-athletes who attend an MPSSAA school and participate in MPSSAA recognized sports.

     Interested student-athletes should complete the application linked to this release and submit via email to the MPSSAA (see "Contact Us").  The application is also available under "Publications" on this webpage.  The application deadline is 12:00 noon on April 17, 2009.  The eight winners will be notified via email on May 1, 2009.

     Applicants, please note that if you intend to try out for a spring sport, you should wait until after the team selection process is complete so that your application is precisely accurate.  There is no advantage gained by submitting your application early, so be careful and diligent with your submission.

     This monetary scholarship opportunity for graduating high school student-athletes is awarded toward post-secondary education for the selected recipients and will be presented them at a luncheon in their honor in May, 2009.  Additional details about the date and site for the luncheon will be forthcoming at a later date.
