The 2019 State Volleyball Championships have come to another scintillating conclusion at the University of Maryland-College Park's Ritchie Coliseum with a little something old and a little something new in the winner's circle at the end of the day. The something "old" was Century prevailing in Class 2A for their second state title and Smithsburg cruising in Class 1A for the fourteenth time. The something "new" was Arundel triumphing for their first ever State Volleyball title in Class 4A and Colonel Zadok Magruder duplicating the same first-time-ever feat in Class 3A. In addition, Arundel took home the Lesley W. Cooke Tournament Sportsmanship Award. Way to go, Wildcats! Congratulations to each of the 2019 State Champions and State Finalists for a memorable display of fabulous volleyball skills at the University of Maryland-College Park's Ritchie Coliseum.
