The softball state championships were held at the University of Maryland Softball Complex on May 24 and 25. The heat seemed to want to be the star of the show and with not many clouds helping the cause, many fans who did not grab a shady seat needed to leave their seats a few times to catch a little relief from the sun by venturing to the restroom or seeking cover from some trees by the fence or even the PepWear tent. But a little summer-like weather in the spring did not stop the fans from coming to watch their teams!

- The Class 1A championship featured two undefeated programs, Allegany and Boonsboro. Although Boonsboro was seeking their first championship in their first trip to the final, Allegany had three trophies at their school with their last one dated from 2022. Allegany was able to come out on top, thus completing an undefeated season.
- Rising Sun was the only school who also appeared in the 2023 championships and the only school to defend their title. They roared back to the Class 2A championship game and won their eight state championship by defeating Huntingtown.
- Sherwood is no stranger to the state championships. The school had made it to the final day 10 times since 2008, winning seven times. Make that eight times in 11 trips for the Warriors who beat Linganore in the Class 3A championship.
- A newbie to the final, Leonardtown captured the Class 4A championship in this first try. They defeated Eleanor Roosevelt, a school who had one title from 1985, but had not been to the final since 2002.
