Three new state champions were crowned in Boys' Lacrosse on Tuesday and Wednesday as Pikesville won two one-goal games in 2A/1A to earn their second state title this decade, Hereford won their second consecutive state title in 3A/2A, and South River prevailed to win their first ever state boys' lacrosse title in 4A/3A along with the tournament Sportsmanship Award. 

     Congratulations to the winners and to their opponents for a tournament full of games that were action-packed and fast paced with crisp hitting and slick stickwork. A big round of applause also goes to the state tournament committee and the schools that hosted semifinal games for their extra time and effort in making the tournament "go".  Without these numerous volunteers behind the scenes giving unselfishly of their valuable time the tournament would not be the "happening" that it is.  Best wishes for a relaxing summer and we will see everyone back at UMBC next year!
