The uniqueness and excitement of the dual meet tournament format brought out many fans to Marriotts Ridge HS on February 14th. The wrestling community showed more than a little love for the teams battling in the state semifinals and finals throughout the day. When the smoke finally cleared, Old Mill was the Class 3A/4A Champion and Southern-Garrett was the Class 2A/1A Champion.
Congratulations to all of the region champions that participated in the state semifinals and the fans that supported their efforts. The MPSSAA extends a heartfelt thank you to the eight schools that hosted a region tournament earlier in the week and to Marriotts Ridge for hosting the Championships.
