Scores are reported by each member school. Both schools must report scores on a weekly basis. Any concerns with reported scores should be directed to the member school.

Dual Meet State Tournament Information

The MPSSAA Wrestling Dual Meet Championships will be a single-elimination tournament. The four regional champions from each classification will be reseeded into a State Semifinal following the regional championships.

State Semifinal Seeding - The remaining four teams will be seeded based on the regular season winning percentage used to seed the regional tournament. Ties among teams will be first broken by head-to-head competition to determine the higher seed. This applies if all tied teams meet the criteria. If head-to-head does not break the tie, a coin toss will be used to determine the order of seeding.

Dual Meet Tournament Schedule

The following championship schedule will be used. All meets must be held on their designated date unless a graduation or inclement weather occur.

Region First Round and Quarterfinals - Tuesday, February 11 (Regional Sites)
Region Semifinals and Finals - Thursday, February 13 (Regional Sites)

State Wrestling Championship Information

Event: 2025 MPSSAA Wrestling State Championships

Location: The Show Place Arena (14900 Pennsylvania Avenue, Upper Marlboro, MD 20772)

Dates: Thursday, March 6 - Saturday, March 8

Tickets: The cost of admission ranges from $10 - $35, dependent upon the day or number of days of attendance. Please see below for detailed information. TICKETS will only be sold online through the GoFan ticketing website. Please note that GoFan charges a service fee independent of the MPSSAA.

State Individual Tournament Qualifying

One- or Two-day region tournaments: February 28 - March 1
Each region will conduct an eight-line tournament, double elimination, beginning with the quarterfinals.
Co-ed Division - The top 4 wrestlers in each weight class from each region will advance into a 1A/2A or 3A/4A state tournament.

Girls Division - The top 3 wrestlers in each weight class of the eight regions will advance to a single classification 24-line bracket at the state tournament.
