The Maryland Public Secondary Schools Athletic Association (MPSSAA) Board of Control met on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at the BWI Marriott. The Board of Control heard reports from sport committees, the Sportsmanship Committee, and the COMAR review task force. Action was also taken on a number of agenda items.
- The 2025-2027 Winter and Spring Classification recommendations were accepted.
- A motion was brought forward by Cecil County to request to move Perryville High School from the Class 1A South region to the Class 1A East region on the football alignment after reviewing the geography of the regions. It was seconded by Carroll County. A vote by the body passed the motion. A motion to then accept the 2025-2027 Fall Classification passed.
- The outline of the Care and Prevention course, required to be taken by coaches, was presented and reviewed. It was approved by the MPSSAA Medical Advisory Committee after modification to include other required areas. The motion to accept the proposed outline passed.
