MPSSAA Honors Eighteen Recipients Of The 2022 Minds In Motion Scholarship at Luncheon.

The MPSSAA is pleased to announce the eighteen winners of the 2022 Minds in Motion Scholar-Athlete Scholarships! The selection committee met on Friday, May 6 to choose two recipients from each of the MPSSAA's nine districts who will receive a $1,000 scholarship and a luncheon held in their honor in the Ravens Locker Room at M&T Bank Stadium on June 02.

MPSSAA Bus Driver Appreciation Week May 2-7

The Maryland Public Secondary Schools Athletic Association (MPSSAA) is declaring the week of May 2 to May 7, 2022 as Bus Driver Appreciation Week to thank and bring attention to the hard work and dedication of the professionals who transport nearly 112,000 MPSSAA student-athlete participants across the state of Maryland.

NFHS Sport Questionnaires for Coaches, Officials, and Athletic Administrators (Winter Sports)

The NFHS is distributing the annual sport-specific questionnaires for winter sports. They can be accessed directly on the NFHS website. Coaches, Athletic Directors, and Officials are asked to participate in the NFHS rules-writing process by taking the annual rules questionnaire. It is provided so the opinions of a national sampling of registered officials and coaches will be considered by the NFHS Rules Committee.

MPSSAA OFFICIALS APPRECIATION WEEK April 4-9

The Maryland Public Secondary Schools Athletic Association (MPSSAA) is declaring the week of April 4 to April 9, 2022 as Spring Sport Officials Appreciation Week to thank and bring attention to the hard work and dedication of the nearly 5,500 MPSSAA registered sport officials in the state of Maryland.

Applications Open for the 2022 MPSSAA Minds in Motion Scholarship Program!

The Minds in Motion Scholarship, is awarded to female and male senior scholar-athletes who attend a MPSSAA school and participate in MPSSAA-recognized sports. The $1,000 scholarship is awarded toward post-secondary education for qualifying applicants and is presented to the winners at a luncheon. The application, with requirements, is available on the MPSSAA website during a 5-week window in March/April.
