  • MPSSAA Girls Lacrosse Committee Honors Melba Williams

    In celebration of 50 Years of Title IX, the MPSSAA Girls’ Lacrosse Committee would like to honor our state committee director, Ms. Melba Williams. As a Title IX Trailblazer, Ms. Williams organized the first girls’ lacrosse state committee in 1974, with a vision to bring girls lacrosse region and state tournaments to Maryland. In 1990, her vision became reality with the playing of the first ever MPSAAA Girls’ Lacrosse State Tournament. She has served as director of the girls lacrosse state commit​

    The MPSSAA is pleased to announce the eighteen winners of the 2022 Minds in Motion Scholar-Athlete Scholarships!   • NFHS Sport Questionnaires for Coaches, Officials, and Athletic Administrators (Winter Sports)

    The NFHS is distributing the annual sport-specific questionnaires for winter sports. They can be accessed directly on the NFHS website. Coaches, Athletic Directors, and Officials are asked to participate in the NFHS rules-writing process by taking the annual rules questionnaire. It is provided so the opinions of a national sampling of registered officials and coaches will be considered by the NFHS Rules Committee.
