The 2008 softball draw was held May 6 at the MPSSAA office.
In 4A action, Gaithersburg (west), Bowie (south), Linganore (north) and 2007 state champion Chesapeake-AA (east) all captured number one seeds for the tournament.
2007 4A state runner up Damascus (west), 2007 state champion Huntingtown (south), Franklin (north) and Stephen Decatur (east) took the top four spots in the 3A draw.
On the 2A side, Clarksburg (west), Gwynn Park (south), Eastern Tech (north) and Easton (east) secured number one spots.
In the 1A draw, Poolesville (west), Glenelg (south), Sparrows Point (north) and 2007 state runner up Col. Richardson (east) are the number one seeds.

Teams advancing past the Regional Quarterfinals are to submit ONLINE ENTRIES by 4 pm on Monday, May 13, 2008. The MPSSAA online entry information is found on pages 6-7 of the MPSSAA Spring Bulletin and on the MPSSAA Coaches/Athletic Directors Page.

Teams advancing to the State Semifinals must fill out the media information sheet found in the info center section of the softball page of mpssaa.org, and email it to Gene Robertson (erobert26@aol.com) by 3pm Sunday May 18.
